Markus has been active in the field of foreign direct investment (FDI) for 15 years and is Managing Director of Global Aldea Consulting in Berlin, Germany.

With profound knowledge of corporate location strategies, business development, and international expansion processes, he provides support to companies planning to establish a presence abroad.

Before founding Global Aldea Markus van Tilburg worked for six years at a consulting firm specialized exclusively on FDI and spent two years with the Chamber of Commerce in Aachen supporting German companies operating internationally.

As a management and strategy consultant, he has assisted many corporate clients in successfully implementing their global investment strategies and their location selection projects. He also has been an advisor to numerous Investment Promotion Agencies (IPA) developing new strategies and managing lead generation programs worldwide.

EDUCATION
Markus has a Master's degree in Economic Geography, Political Science and Economics from the RWTH University of Aachen, Germany and from the University of Valencia (UPV), Spain.

In addition to German, he speaks fluent English and Spanish.
